Front of House Team Member

About the role:

As a member of our Front of House team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable dining experience. From warmly welcoming them to taking their orders and delivering our signature dishes, your friendly demeanour and attention to detail will create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back for more.

Here's what you can expect as a Front of House Team Member at El Estanco:

  • Welcome and seat guests with a friendly smile, creating a positive first impression

  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary requirements are communicated to the kitchen

  • Serve food and beverages with care and attention, ensuring timely delivery to tables

  • Provide recommendations and answer any questions about our menu items

  • Ensure tables are clean and properly set for the next guests

  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in the dining area

  • Embrace our commitment to outstanding customer service, going the extra mile to exceed guest expectations

  • Enjoy a work schedule with primarily day shifts and just one night shift per week, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role (preferred)

  • The ability to provide responsible service of alcohol (preferred)

  • A friendly and outgoing personality, with excellent communication skills

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for providing exceptional service

  • A team-oriented mindset, collaborating effectively with our El Estanco team and our customers

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Chef

About the Role:

Are you a culinary expert with a passion for creating memorable dishes? Do you love learning and growing in a fun, dynamic team? If so, join us as Chef at El Estanco!

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a range of mouth-watering dishes

  • Plate and present dishes with creativity

  • Collaborate with the team for daily and special event menus

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation, adhering to food safety standards

  • Mentor junior kitchen staff

  • Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques

  • Bring fresh ideas to elevate our offerings

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or similar role

  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques and ingredients, especially in Mexican, Argentinian, Peruvian, and Spanish cuisines

  • Exceptional attention to detail and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of menu planning, food costing, and stock control

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organisational, time-management, communication, and leadership skills

  • Culinary arts qualifications (essential)
